William Elvis Price of Show Low passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 in Mesa, surrounded by his loving family. He was 84 years old. Bill was born October 10, 1925, in Wichita, Kan. He was employed for 28 years by the Department of Water and Power for the City of Los Angeles, where he was respected and loved by all. He retired as an electrical engineer in 1980 and moved to Show Low, where he has since resided enjoying the beauty of the White Mountains. Bill was a veteran of the United States Marines and served honorably during World War II. He also belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. A Mass of Christian burial was held Thursday, March 25, at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 1400 E. Owens in Show Low, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary one-hour prior to services. The concluding service and graveside blessing followed at the Show Low Cemetery.

Diamondbacks Faith and Family Night
On Friday, May 7th, we will be organizing a caravan down to PHX for the Arizona Diamondbacks Faith and Family Night. The Diamondbacks will take on the Milwaukee Brewers and the game will be followed by a Jars of Clay concert! We'll be meeting at 2 pm to drive down together. Spring Raffle for FWA
To get ready for spring, Jessie is organizing a raffle of several baskets as well as a food drive. The proceeds from the raffle will be used for purchasing food for the food bank. Any donated food or clothing items will be taken to Faith with Action for distribution. She will take care of everything else. There will be Spring Baskets in the back of the church this week and next week. Also Jessie will be collecting food. The raffle drawing will be this Sunday or Easter Sunday.
