Michael and Amy Brown, owners of PIZZERIA VENTI in Lakeside, will donate (towards the Thrivent Challenge Fundraiser) a percentage of their sales on March 2^nd   between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Please mention that you wish to support the Grace Church Fundraiser. TICKETS 4 SALE now

We are off to a good start! Help us keep the momentum going. Please purchase tickets today for the “Pig Roast” Fundraiser on Sunday, March  10th,  following the morning service, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funds raised will be matched 50% by Thrivent Financial and will be used to support benevolence funds. If you cannot attend, you may still support this cause by writing a check payable to Grace Church and earmarking it “Fundraiser.” Thank you and God bless you all.

ASH WEDNESDAY

Please join us this Wednesday evening at 7:00pm for Ash Wednesday Service. It marks the beginning of Lent season, a period of 40 days leading to Easter. Ashes in the sign of the cross are placed on the forehead to remind us of our mortality, our need for repentance, prayer and fasting in preparation for Easter.

ADULT   MID-WEEK STUDY

You can still join us here on Thursday evenings for the group study on Neil Anderson’s book:  THE BONDAGE BREAKER. This study is from 7:00 to 8:00pm and will continue through the end of March. We do have childcare available and a few books left for purchase. Questions? See Pia.

This 21 session course starts with three sessions on How to Study the Bible.  It tells the history of the Bible and how to use concordances, atlases, and other study helps for understanding God’s Word.  The rest of the course is a survey of the entire Bible following God’s covenant with Abraham.  This class is divided into three 7 week sessions.  Bring a notebook.  It is available in print form for $11 or download it as an e-book for $3.99.

God’s Gracious Training

It is 7 Sessions about what the Lord God trains us for and how.  Its theme is learning to walk in God’s Spirit and love in your everyday life.  It also shares about Christ’s work through His Body.  Bring a notebook.  Cost is $4.50.

EDUCATIONAL  UPDATE

Derek is set to graduate in May 2014 with a Master of Divinity in Christian Leadership. He has 12 more credits (out of the necessary 80) to go. He has 3 more classes this year in California and one in MN. If you feel led to contribute to his education, you may do so by writing a check (or enveloped cash) to Grace Church with "Derek's Education" in the memo. Derek wishes to thank all who have contributed so generously so far!
