GRACE NEWS - Nov. 4 - Nov. 10, 2012
GET ACQUAINTED TODAY!
Come join us at our ‘Potluck Luncheon’ immediately following this morning’s service
and come get to know some of the NEWCOMERS at Grace Church.
Fasting
and Prayer
Several members
of Grace Church have made a commitment to spend Monday and Tuesday in ‘Fasting
and Prayer’ for the ELECTION DAY
on Tuesday, Nov. 6th, as well as for the victims of
hurricane Sandy and the next storm forcasted to hit on Thursday. We invite you to come join us in prayer Tuesday morning in the
Sanctuary, between 8:30am until 10:00am or possible later.
Attention Youth!
Derek Luptak
will be attending a Seminary Class in the valley and all youth activities will
be cancelled this week. He and Amanda will see you again on Sunday Nov. 11th
for the next Javacade.
Save the
Date!
The Annual Grace Church International Christmas Dinner
has been scheduled for Friday evening,
December 7th, 2012. If you would like to be involved in the
planning and preparations for it, please contact Marg Geiger or Debbie Allsop.
Thank you!
FAITH With Action
Fall is in
the air and winter clothing is needed. Check your closets for any unused coats,
sweaters, scarves, hats and gloves that you might want to DONATE to needy
families. Either drop items off at the church, or arrange for pick up of items
by contacting Dan Parcell at 928-892-2157.
F.W.A.
also needs ‘turkeys’ to be distributed on Wed. Nov. 14th, one week
before Thanksgiving Day. If you’d like to make a donation, you may write a
check to Grace Church and earmark it “FWA-Turkeys.” Thank you!
HOME GROUPS
We would love to see some new home groups formed. We know there are
several members that have expressed interest in getting “plugged in.” If you are interested in being a part of a
new group, please sign up in the Narthex.
Water
baptism
If you have never been baptized, or maybe you were baptized as an infant
and would like to reaffirm your faith by experiencing a full immersion baptism,
please consider signing up in the Narthex. We are planning a Water Baptism
which would probably take place in December or January when the Show Low Aquatic
Center reopens. Pastor Gary will have a meeting in advance to discuss and
answer any questions related to Baptism.
