A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT AS WE PREPARE FOR CHRISTMAS:
This time of year, it's so easy to get caught up in the frantic pace of events and financial anxieties. But let's remember that the CHILD who we are celebrating grew up and said, "Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you REST." (Mt. 11:28) He is the ONE this season is all about and He does not want us anxious and stressed out. Let's all go into this season together with our eyes on Him, remembering to take time to focus on the ultimate gift God gave us - Himself, in human flesh. If that means turning down obligations to make more white space on the calendar, so be it. As His people, we are to reflect the joy of knowing HIM and this is a great season to do so, IF we keep it about HIM! ~ Derek Luptak
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS
Please sign up for Nov. & Dec. opportunities to teach our children! Our Christmas Children’s Pageant will be on Sunday, Dec. 18th. Practice will begin TODAY during Sunday School class. Thank you for your help!
FAITH WITH ACTION
Fall and colder weather brings special needs to Families on the White Mountains. Please consider bringing in usable winter clothing, hats, gloves, sox and jackets for needy families. We will also be collecting turkeys and money for turkey purchases. In recent years we have given out 170 turkeys to families in need! You may contact Jessie (928-205-7337) to help or designate money in the offering to FWA. Thank you for your support!
INTERNATIONAL CHRISTMAS DINNER
Mark your calendars now for this fun and festive event on Dec. 9th! We are in need of “Hosts and/or Hostesses” for ten tables, as well as “Greeters.” If you are interested in signing up or just want to find out more about it, please see Debbie Allsop or Marg Geiger.
DANCE TEAM
If you have borrowed (or know anyone who has) any of the dance apparel used by the Dance Team, please return it to the church office anytime Mon. – Thurs. between 11am to 4pm. Thank you kindly!
MID-WEEK STUDY
Join us! Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. – We are studying the book VICTORY OVER THE DARKNESS by Neil Anderson. The SUGGESTED DONATION for a book is $10. Childcare is provided.
